Esenler Municipality has taken the first step of the “Safe City Esenler” project, which will be another first for Turkiye. Installation of 1166 cameras planned to be built at 435 points has started.

Safe City Esenler project has entered a new phase. Esenler Municipality’s ‘Safe City Esenler’ project, which was realized with the aim of providing a life where every parent in Esenler can send their children to school safely and feel safe while walking around the parks and streets, is now a first in Turkiye. For the first time in Turkiye, a city is becoming one hundred percent safe.

With the approval of the Presidency, Esenler Municipality, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Ministry of National Education and the Presidency of Defense Industry have started the installation of artificial intelligence-supported cameras to be placed on 1287 streets. The installation of 1166 cameras, which are planned to be placed at a total of 435 points, 250 for security, 90 for schools, 95 for parks and gardens, is planned to be completed as soon as possible. The construction of the Esenler Safe City and Disaster Coordination Center, where the cameras to be installed on the streets, schools and parks will be monitored. The installation process will also be completed as soon as possible.

City to be monitored 24/7

Security cameras placed at different points in Esenler will be monitored on a 24/7 basis with smart systems, and in case of a security threat, artificial intelligence systems will automatically generate alarms. Thus, by preventing security threats before they occur, the security problems of our district will be solved in the most effective way.
