Mayor of Esenler M. Tevfik Goksu is realizing the projects he promised during the election period one by one. “Dowry Support Center” prepared for young people in need from Esenler starts to serve.
Esenler Municipality established the ‘Dowry Support Center’ in order to meet the dowries of girls from orphan families in need who will step into marriage in Esenler. In the project, which was realized with the motto “Let us have our finger in the pie”, a package containing about 25 items such as electrical household appliances, kitchen utensils, bed linen sets and carpets is given as gifts. In addition, newly married couples or couples who are thinking of getting married are given training on “Communication within the Family”, “Gastronomy”, “Baby Care”, “Child Development” by experts in their fields.
“We are always here for you”
Esenler Mayor Goksu, who visited the center where all kinds of products that a home may need are available and stated that they are with the girls of Esenler on their happiest day, said: “These girls are entrusted to God, then to their families and to us. Their happiness is our happiness. We wanted to lend a hand for them to build a joyful home for a lifetime. We will continue to be with our girls beginning from their happiest days.”
He kept his promise
Esenler Mayor M. Tevfik Goksu had given the good news of the dowry support service at the project promotion meeting with the vision of Turkiye Century between 2024-2029 before the 2024 Local Elections. Goksu promised young people at the meeting and said, “We will provide dowry support to our young people in need. We are assigning a family counselor to each family. He/she will take care of all the problems of that family.”
